Clients frequently ask me why I became a Physical Therapist. This is my story, and I’m sticking to it: I realized half-way through my undergraduate degree at Arizona State University that I needed a career working with my mind and my body. With a lot of hard work and very little sleep, I completed my business degree, all the required pre-PT courses, and was accepted to Northern Arizona University for Physical Therapy graduate school.
In 1994 I graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Since then I have worked in outpatient orthopedic, home health and industrial rehab settings. 26 years of clinical experience, continuing education, and life have led me to my passion: helping clients move and feel their best using fascial stretching, manual therapy, therapeutic movement and exercise, and dry needling.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy being in the kitchen cooking and fermenting, and helping my husband with our “urban homestead.” I also like spending time with our three young adult and teenage children and our 2 dogs. And sometimes I sleep!
